Tucked away in the quiet countryside of Minnesota, down a peaceful gravel drive and surrounded by open skies and fresh air, you’ll find my little studio, a refinished garage turned cozy, boutique space where so many tiny beginnings have been photographed.
It might not look fancy from the outside…but inside?
It’s warm.
It’s calm.
It’s full of heart.
And the studio was created completely with families (especially mamas) in mind.
Because I never wanted my studio to feel like a sterile photo space.
I wanted it to feel like an extension of my home.
Stepping Inside my Minnesota Studio
It’s a common occurrence for a new client to walk through my door expecting a basic garage. And every time it brings me joy to hear the pleasant surprise in their voice as they take it all in.

You’ll find a comfy couch with a chunky knit blanket draped over the back, and a refresh station stocked with chilled drinks and snacks (because let’s be honest… new parent life runs on caffeine and quick bites), and a basket of toys within arms reach to keep little ones entertained during their visit.
No rushing.
No pressure.
Just space to breathe.
All the Sweet Little Details in the Studio
One of my favorite parts of the studio is the collection of carefully curated props and pieces that I’ve gathered over the years:

- Sweet little hats, bonnets, and headbands
- A closet full of neutral, timeless newborn outfits

Where the Magic Happens
Each newborn set up in the studio is specifically designed for safety, and comfort.

Slow-paced.
We take our time here.
Feeding breaks? Always.
Snuggles? Of course.
Extra soothing? Absolutely.
There’s also a simple bedroom setup and lifestyle space in the studio for those tender, connection-filled moments — the kind where you curl up together on the bed or snuggle close on the couch.
The moments that feel like real life.
The moments you’ll miss someday.
More Than a Studio
Truthfully, this space isn’t just where I take photos.
It’s where brand-new parents sit close together on the couch, staring down at their baby and whispering, “I can’t believe they’re finally here.”
It’s where tiny toddlers proudly step into their new role as big brother or big sister — sneaking kisses and gentle pats like it’s the most important job in the world.
It’s where mamas are reminded they’re doing an amazing job… where they’re supported, encouraged, and never judged.
And it’s where we freeze those fleeting little moments — not just how they looked, but how they felt.
The quiet snuggles.
The happy tears.
The way your baby fits perfectly in your arms.
This space has held so many beautiful beginnings.
So many stories.
And it means more than I can say that families trust me enough to step into this little country studio and allow me to preserve those memories for them.

My Heart Behind It All as a Newborn Photographer
I designed this space intentionally — not just to be beautiful, but to be supportive.
Because when you walk through my doors, I want you to feel something deeper than “prepared for photos.”
I want you to feel cared for.
As a mama myself, I know firsthand that there isn’t just one right way to do this parenting thing. Every family has their own rhythm, their own routines, their own way of loving their babies — and whatever works for you is exactly right.
